Our club philosophy is built on the following three core values:

2019/2020 Travel Program highlights:

  • The Ellicott City Soccer Club is operated by Soccer People making Soccer Decisions.
  • CiTY is committed to meet the needs of all our players and families.
  • The Travel Program is overseen by our technical directors. CiTY coaches are professional, experienced, and licensed.
  • We will place our teams in leagues and divisions that provide an appropriate level of competition. This includes Club Champions League [CCL Championship & CCL NextGen divisions EDP, CMSA, and other local leagues.
  • Each player receives a written player evaluation at the end of the fall season to be used as a benchmark to enhance players development into the spring season.
  • Our Travel Program costs are transparent and include team fees, club dues, tournament fees, technical training, and more. Click on the age-appropriate division for more information about what is included in the fees. 
  • Each team will attend either local, regional, or out of state tournaments. Events are determined by team coach and club directors. Teams may participate in additional tournaments beyond what is included in the club paid for tournaments, however, all costs with attending an additional tournament are equally split among the team's rosters. 
  • There is an opportunity during the U14 competitive year to travel abroad during the July club break. This is an "opt-in" program and the costs are incremental. Foreign travel allows players to experience different playing styles, cultures, and environments. The group creates numerous fundraising opportunities to help offset some of the costs of the trip. In July 2019, the 2005 (U14) group is going to play in the Gothia Cup- The Worth Youth Cup! 

All 2019/20 Travel Team Players (New AND Returning) must register with MSYSA.
  • Players that are NEW to Maryland State Soccer Travel need to create an account, and upload a head shot and proof of age (Birth Certificate and/or Passport); Watch video how to register 
  • Returning Players should still have all returning player account information saved, and player proof of age and head shot should still be in the account saved from last year.

Travel Program 2019/2020 Fees


Our Travel Program includes the following costs: (U8 Academy fees included in link below). 

  1. TEAM FEES: Due at acceptance, or can select to pay in monthly installments.
    • Team fees are applied to support the following costs:  League fees, Tournament fees, Coaching fees, Field rental fees, Referees fees, Technical Training, Soccer Performance Training, Winter Training, MSYSA and USSF player registration and rostering. 
  2. CLUB MEMBERSHIP DUES: $365/per player; Due at acceptance. 
    • Club dues will go towards Club administrative staff, Technical Staff, Operations Staff, Risk management/background screenings, Club insurance, Equipment purchase and capital improvements, Club Marketing and Communications, Off-the-field programs and education, and Coaching Education. Includes a high quality soccer ball. Players will receive the soccer ball from their coach when the season starts. 
  3. FUNDRAISER: $100/player; Due at acceptance. 
    • All CiTY families will be automatically entered in our Annual Fundraiser for a chance to win! More details to follow on what the prize will be! Drawing will be held in April at our Annual Golf Tournament.
  4. UNIFORM: Separate payment from our website platform. Direct payment will go to Angelo's Soccer Corner for the uniform. 



CiTY has awarded scholarships to need-based families. Applications must be submitted within 1 week after tryouts have ended for your age group in order to be eligible for review and to receive assistance.

CITY requires families that receive financial assistance to volunteer 16 hours in the 2019-2020 year.  Supporting financial documents must be mailed to:

For players new to CiTY Travel for the 2019/2020 season, the estimated uniform kit cost is $300 per player. (U8 Academy players will have a separate uniform package.)

Families will pay for the uniform directly through Angelo's Soccer Corner. It is a separate cost from Team fees and Club Dues that are paid through our website platform. 2019/2020 is Year 2 of a 2-year uniform cycle. Orders will all be shipped directly to families prior to mid-August. 

We highly recommend purchasing multiple quantities in the apparel items that need to be worn multiple times each week to minimize laundry! The items to purchase more than 1 are: Practice shirt, black shorts, and socks. Travel players are required to wear this set at technical training and all practices. 


All players NEW to CiTY TRAVEL for 2019/2020 are required to purchase a uniform kit this season that includes:

  1. Gray game jersey
  2. Yellow game jersey
  3. Black shorts 
  4. Quarter zip gray training top with player # on shoulder
  5. Black training pants
  6. Gray practice shirt
  7. Yellow socks with "CiTY" embroidered
  8. Gray socks

We offer a backpack for purchase. It is gray, and the CiTY logo and player # will be embroidered on it prior to you receiving it. 


Teams are formed at tryouts and each player is an integral part of the team and the club.  Your team cannot function without you! Therefore, our refund policy is designed to protect the team and the club, and refunds will be considered only in extreme circumstances for the following reasons:

  • All refunds will be reviewed based upon a case by case basis.
  • Severe injury or illness that prevents the player from participating for the remainder of the season (requires a note from a physician)
  • The family moves out of the area.
  • The player cannot be placed or is removed from a team. Please contact Rob at [email protected]
  • All online processing fees (~3%) are non-refundable
  •  Deposit payments due for team acceptance ($465 for 2019/2020) are non-refundable.
  •  Approved refunds will be pro-rated at time of the request for refund and will reflect an administrative fee of $200.
  •  Uniform Fees: Once the uniform is ordered, it is non-refundable.  All online processing fees are non-refundable.
